The Draft Road Maintenance Program outlines the work planned to maintain Washington County’s transportation system in an efficient and cost-effective way. Our approach is to apply the right level of maintenance at the right time, helping extend the life of our transportation infrastructure and reducing the need for costly reconstruction.
Road maintenance affects daily travel, neighborhood safety, commute reliability, drainage and flooding resilience, and the overall condition of the roads we all depend on. Community feedback helps ensure that the work we plan aligns with real‑world needs and the experiences of people who use these roads every day.
The draft program includes most of the proposed work for our maintenance crews and contractors. Additional resources are reserved for emergencies, service requests, and other unplanned needs.
The draft program also incorporates feedback from the public and advisory committees. Your comments will help refine the final project list before it is submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for action.
